about Our family

Rose Family Meats is dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality beef. This ambition runs so deep that we only sell meat that we raise ourselves. Our priority is not only to deliver quality beef but to provide our customers with a guarantee that with every nutritious cut of beef is the peace of mind that comes with knowing where your beef comes from.

Raising Beef in the Big Sky.

John Rose has been raising beef in Montana since 1988 and relocated to Toston, MT, where the current ranch is, 10 years ago. The cattle are raised in Toston and summer nearby in White Sulfur Springs. Four generations help keep Rose Family Meats running, and we are proud to produce beef in the Big Sky.

The Rose Family: Across Multiple Generations

Our goal as a family is to leave our world better for the next generation. Today, John owns a backgrounding lot and purchases cattle in sale barns, along with Karoline’s help. Jacob manages the feeding and maintaining of the cattle, and rides the pastures in the summers with Kelsey. Karoline also owns a marketing company that specializes in helping agriculture businesses and cattle ranches thrive. The focus of Rose Family Meats these days is Jasen and Ellie, Jacob and Kelsey’s kids. They spend their days on the ranch and both want to be ranchers when they grow up.
